Introduction
… while not exactly designed for timeseries stuff at first hand, Apache Superset definitively has the meat to become the next Grafana in terms of its likewise universal approach to bringing data sources and interactive exploration and visualization features together. While there are lots of other similar projects out there, this looks also genuinely unique to me.
Unfortunately, they are at least minting it into the “business intelligence” direction which makes me feel sad as the project itself approaches the domain from a pretty much universal viewpoint, like Grafana also does reasonably while in fact originally coming from the domain of metrics acquisition in server monitoring. Let’s see into which direction Apache Superset will move in the medium- and long-term.
