Using Power-over-Ethernet (PoE)

Recently, we had a discussion in Berlin how we can use PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) and weatherproof Ethernet cables for powering e.g. small board with Micro-USB or “Arduino plug”.

There are 802.3at(“PoE+”)-Splitters (&Injektors) (25.4W) available, too. E.g. Delock 87657

And there is, for the Raspberry 3 B+, a PoE-Hat, neatly fitting on the board including a fan, (already) available. (edit: less wires/plugs/connectors ftw)
